Pilates

Fitness classes are open to all adults over 14 years of age and no induction is required. For busier classes pre-booking is recommended, pay on entry for none members and free for members.

The fitness classes are held in the Community Hall which is heated and air conditioned to provide a comfortable enviroment for working out. There are modern changing and toilet facilities adjacent to the hall.

Pilates, like Yoga, is a mat based workout suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. A variety of exercises are performed in a low impact controlled manner with surprisingly big benefits.

Some of these benefits include improvements to core strength, better balance and co-ordination, increases in felxibilty and mobility and general development of strength in many of the main muscle groups including legs, hips, arms, back and abs.

In addition Pilates can help relieve and avoid back problems plus aids relaxation and stress release. Pilates is highly recommended on its own or as part of exercise plan and works well along side Yoga.

Concessions

  • In full time education a valid student card must be presented.
